Sampling valves are used to draw a live sample from a process, and frequent sampling of chemical and refinery products is a necessary function during the manufacturing process. However, many of these samples are currently taken into open containers with little or no safety measures to protect operators from product overage or accidental spills. The solution is Sampling Valves that extract fluid directly from the pipeline, taking samples without failure – even under high pressure or high vacuum conditions.
Based on the design pressure, temperature, toxicity and flammability we offer different valve design for your application.
Soft Seated and Metal seated Sample Valves;
Frequent sampling of chemical and refinery products is a necessary function during the manufacturing process. However, many of these samples are currently taken into open containers with little or no safety measures to protect operators from product overage or accidental spills. Our Sampling Valves are used to draw a live sample from the process without failure – even under the harshest conditions.
Metal Seated Sampling Valve is dimensionally the same as our standard SV Series but is suitable for use in ASME Class 600, 1000°F applications.
The Metal Seated Sampling Valves feature a metal-to-metal seal and a one-piece piston design that minimizes dead areas. The maintenance-friendly design of the M Seal system provides long and reliable valve performance and is suitable for almost all process conditions and high-temperature service.
Characteristics:
– Rugged investment cast body construction for long-lasting service in challenging environments
– Variety of body materials, connection types, and temperature ranges to meet a variety of application parameters.
– Dual sealing ring arrangement keeps the valve from leaking into the atmosphere.
– No internal dead spot cavity – the piston fills the valve interior resulting in a valid live sample every time.
– Precision-machined piston clears out any material that may solidify within the body during regular operation.
– Optional piston extension breaks through scale or build-up to prevent contamination or build-up.
– Comply with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) No. 97/23/EC for SEP Category.
The cone and piston valves are exceptionally well suited for sampling from containers. These sampling valves has been designed as the cost efficient container sampling option from DN 25 on. In this case the cone opens into the container.
A sampling valve from the product range Type BVP operates with a piston. The entire line diameter can be cleared by the return of the piston. Good sample dosing is made possible with a crank or a hand wheel, in contrast to a ball valve.
Characteristics:
– Numerous combination possibilities
– No-dead-space design
– Bayonet sockets for quick accessories exchanges
– Five housing variants:
– Flange design
– Flange design, completely made from special alloys such as Titan or Hastelloy
– Wafer design
– Wafer design, made completely from special alloys, such as Titan or Hastelloy
– Flange design for vertical mounting
– TA - Luft compliant version (also possible with a bellows-type seal)
– Stroke limiter, adjustable and sealable (for lever operation)
– Lockable controls
– Enclosure system for toxic media
– No-dead-space piston injector for toxic media
